One of the most beautiful endurance racers of the ’60s, a 1969 Lola-Chevrolet T70GT Mk IIIB with a colorful competition history, will be offered at Bonhams’ December Sale at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge, UK.

Expected to fetch up to about $950,000, the British-made car with its Chevy V8 finished 13 of its 17 races in 1969, winning five of them handily, turning it into an endurance legend.

One of the oldest and largest manufacturers of racing cars in the world, Lola was founded in 1958 and introduced the first T70 in 1965.

Lola T70s were also the workhorses in McQueen’s 1971 flick Le Mans, appearing under Porsche and Ferrari bodywork in some fast-paced scenes.
