The Porsche 914, a collaboration with VW produced from 1969-1976, is denigrated by many as a poor man’s Porsche, but back in the day it had a certain louche charm.
Reasonably priced for a Porsche—though not so much for a VW—the targa-topped roadster came under criticism from reviewers but ended up selling well.

For the miniskirt set it was obviously a stylish accessory; however, just the thing for pulling up to the runway for a ménage-a-trois at 30,000 feet.
If we were this guy, we’d be looking a little more pleased…
