The other day we told you about the Rolex worn by Roger Moore in his first Bond film being auctioned off at Christie’s in Geneva on Nov. 14.

Now one of Sir Roger’s personal Rolexes has been added to the sale as well.

The watch is a Sea-Dweller customized for the famed actor by the UK’s Project X Designs in 2009 and proceeds from the sale are going to UNICEF.

While Christie’s has not released an estimate on it, look for a six-figure hammer price thanks to its provenance.

The Sea-Dweller, dubbed the Sir Roger Moore Edition, is one of two Rolexes customized for the actor by Project X; the other, a Submariner, remains in his possession.

Sir Roger Moore’s bespoke Project X Designs Rolex

It features a bespoke black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating, “Double Red” dial text and a specially engraved case back.

The timepiece comes complete with a signed copy of Moore’s autobiography, and a letter from Moore regarding his original commissioning of the watch.

Project X, based in London’s Mayfair, was founded by Daniel Bourn, a former investment banker who developed an “obsessive compulsion” for collecting rare, modern and vintage luxury watches.

Their collection of customized Rolexes includes several “stealth” designs paying homage to original James Bond and British military models.

Other Project X fans include members of royalty, sportsmen and famed musicians – as well as the current 007, Daniel Craig.

Even though onscreen Bond has to wear an Omega these days, in real life he’s as much of a Rolex – and Project X – man as Sir Roger.

So much for product placement….
