In celebration of Gucci’s 90th anniversary and the opening of the Gucci Museum in Florence, Rizzoli will publish Gucci: The Making Of next month.
Designed as an “insightful tribute to the heritage and influence of the iconic, multi-faceted Italian fashion house whose name has become synonymous the world over for Italian handcrafted luxury and fashion authority,” the book features over 700 images, some of which have never been seen before.
A special edition version of the American luxury car with serious ’70s sprezzatura
One of our favorites: the 1979 Gucci Cadillac Seville, a special edition version of the American luxury car.
A partial soft top in Gucci fabric, an interlocking “G” on the wire wheel covers, a red and green stripe across the lower edge of the trunk lid, and an interlocking “G” hood ornament decorated the exterior.
Inside, the headrests wore the double “G” pattern with leather trim and the signature stripe, the instrument panel bore the iconic Gucci script, and inside the trunk was a full set of Gucci luggage.
Who said the ’70s were short on sprezzatura….?
