On October 23 Bonhams will be offering a number of voluptuous Velocette motorycles at its Melbourne, Australia sale.
Founded in 1904, Veloce Ltd. of Birmingham, UK was a small, family-owned firm famed for its hand-built motorbikes.

The company kept up a strong position in international motorcycle racing from the mid-1920s through the 1950s, culminating in two world championship titles and its legendary and still-unbeaten 24 hours at 100 mph record.
Among the Velocettes on offer down under is this c.1950 Velocette 348cc KTT Mk VIII, estimated at up to about $55,000.
One of the most successful British racing models ever made, the MK VIII is every bit as desirable as better-known counterparts from the likes of Triumph, Norton and BSA.
Time to saddle up….
