If Dolce & Gabbana‘s new fall ad campaigns (below) looks alarmingly familiar it’s because they’re borrowed straight from two classic Brigitte Bardot films:
Godard’s 1963 Le Mépris (Contempt) and 1958′s En cas de malheur (Love is My Profession).

Above, the incendiary actress appears with Jack Palance as the film producer in his Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider in a scene from Le Mépris.
Since Bardot is celebrating her birthday this week – it would be impolite to say which one – we thought it only right to give her proper credit.
And we sincerely hope Domenico and Stefano sent her one of everything….
