We’ve been eagerly awaiting our advance copy of the new preppy bible and we’re chuffed to say it was well worth it, old sport.
Preppy: Cultivating Ivy Style by designer Jeffrey Banks and journalist Doria de La Chapelle
The coffee table tome will delight many a style buff for its brilliant assemblage of images, along with a tip of the straw boater to the likes of Ivy Style, ACL, Mister Mort, Valet and Unabashedly Prep.
Needless to say you should have already placed your pre-order, but we’ll be bringing you a few glimpses from its top-drawer files in the next few weeks [cont'd below].

History does not record exactly what the National Review founder was wearing on this occasion, though we’d say it’s a combo of Brooks Bros. (featured on the book’s cover) and J. Press.
He must have been shopping soon before the pic was taken however as he looks a little less disheveled than usual.
