If you missed our old comrade-in-arms Larry Fink’s exhibit at LACMA, not to worry: it’s now available in book form.
From blue collar to black tie, Fink has photographed gatherings of every sort in the span of a colorful 40-year career – though never from the expected angle.
His latest work focuses on a decade of Hollywood fetes centered on Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter’s legendary Oscar party, attended by every celeb in the universe.

The Vanities: Hollywood Parties 2000-2009 features more than 90 full-page images culled from his vast archive.
As Luc Sante notes is the book’s intro, the Oscar bash is not only where “potential rivals, enemies, scroungers, bloodsuckers, watchdogs, vultures and sociopaths” converge on the beautiful people.
Sometimes they are the beautiful people….
