Storied Italian watch brand Officine Panerai makes some of the world’s most stylish timepieces.
Panerai’s 72-ft. flagship Eilean was built in Scotland in 1936
They also own one of the world’s most stylish classic yachts – the Eilean.
Eilean is an alluring two-masted 72-ft. Bermudian ketch originally designed and built in 1936, the same year the first true Panerai watch was created, by the legendary Fife boatyard in Scotland.

Panerai CEO and avid yachtsman Angelo Bonati lovingly restored the beautiful boat over two-and-a-half years.
A new book on the yacht from Flammarion due out in September
The achievement is celebrated in an equally appealing new book from Flammarion, Eilean: A Classic Yacht, being published in September.
The book, by May Fife Kohn and François Chevalier, is illustrated with archival documents, historical plans, and specially commissioned photos.

Panerai has long been associated with the sea and sailing; early on they made instruments for the Marina Militare, aka the Royal Italian Navy.

These days they sponsor the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge, an incredible series of events bringing together beautiful yachts around the world.
The next one in the series, the Museum of Yachting Classic Yacht Regatta, takes place this weekend in Newport, RI.
