Iconic figures like Jackie Kennedy, Mick Jagger, Maria Callas and Truman Capote.
Hip hangouts like Warhol’s Factory, Studio 54 and the nightclubs of London.
The jet-setting scenes of Saint-Tropez, St. Moritz, Paris, and Rome.
All elements of style in Zeitgeist & Glamour: Photography of the 60s and 70s, the super-cool new book from Prestel.
Highlighting the amazing collection of Nicola Erni, an entrepreneur and passionate collector of contemporary art, the enormous volume contains classic pix from the likes of David Bailey, Richard Avedon, Francesco Scavullo, Cecil Beaton, Lord Snowdon and more.

There are also dozens of snaps from proto-paparazzo Ron Galella, including this great shot of Jagger, John Lennon and his mistress May Pang in New York in 1974.
With over 400 images – drawn from Erni’s collection of over 1,000 – you could easily spend the summer perusing the tome’s treasures.
If ever a book warranted the purchase of an extra-large beach bag, this is it.
Another favorite moment, also captured by Galella: the Duke and Duchess of Windsor at an art opening in NYC in 1967 (below).
We just hope we’re half that cool when we’re in our seventies….
