Those military-inspired Timex for J.Crew watches have been getting a lot of attention from the likes of GQ lately, but there are actually far more handsome timepieces in the storied brand’s repertoire.
We’re particularly fond of these motorsports-inspired chronographs from the T Series Collection, which draws on the company’s 155 year heritage.
The rugged stainless steel wristwatches have automotive-derived details and come engraved on the case back with “1854″ – the year the brand began life as the Waterbury Clock Company of Connecticut.

The leather strap on the Racing Chronograph (right) calls to mind the cutouts on the steering wheel of a classic Jaguar E-Type, while the resin number on the blacked-out T Series Chronograph (left) looks like the upholstery on a vintage sports car.
Many models are equipped with date features, have INDIGLO night modes and are water-resistant to 100 meters.
Both have chronograph functions measuring to 1/20th of a second so you can clock your lap times at Monticello – and with most priced at $150 and under they’re literally a steal.
