Picture being able to plunder the private archives of the late Marilyn Monroe, and all the treasures you’d discover buried there.
Scrapbooks, letters, telegrams, stacks of photographs – even a liquor store bill or two and Joe DiMaggio’s alligator skin cufflink case.

To mark the occasion we present one of our favorite snaps of the actress, taken in 1956 just after her wedding to playwright Arthur Miller as they set out from the house in Connecticut for a honeymoon picnic in a convertible Thunderbird.
The pair had married in secret, giving the press the slip by going to a justice of the peace, but obligingly posed for this photo op the next day proving they knew how to motor in style.
