Continuing our coverage of Bonhams‘ bang-up Le Grandes Marques a Monaco sale taking place in Monte Carlo on May 20th, we bring you the ex-Rosso Bianco Collection 1967 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 “Mugello Spider” world championship endurance racing prototype.
One of the most beautiful racers ever built, Bonhams’ offering is understood to be one of the specially-enhanced long-tailed examples developed by Alfa Romeo for the 1967 Mugello Grand Prix road race (below) in Italy.
A rare 1967 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 “Mugello Spider” world championship endurance racing prototype
That kind of a pedigree doesn’t come cheap – it’ll cost you a cool $550,000 or so to get behind the wheel of this beauty.
Then again, you’d never have to get back out.
