Re-surfacing and brushing off the bad publicity like so much lint on his inherited lapels, the man soon went on to show that Gianni Agnelli‘s grandson doesn’t have to take that kind of shit from anyone.
He launched his own fashion brand, Italia Independent, among other ventures, and has since emerged as one of the 21st century’s most influential style icons.
This pic from an Italia Independent event in Milan the other night, brought to our attention by the eagle-eyed arbiters elegantiarum at Gilt MANual, is just the latest in a long line of cameos by the man in question that’ve led to his persona pervading the style-sphere.

Thus, as we can see from this snap, it is now perfectly acceptable to wear hot pink while riding a Vespa – or driving a bespoke denim-upholstered Ferrari – especially when accessorized by a carbon fiber helmet of your own design (see below).
With that kind of savoire vivre who even needs hookers and blow?
