Last week we told you about Steve McQueen’s 1971 Husqvarna motorcycle being auctioned off at Bonhams’ Quail Lodge sale in California on May 14th. Some new additions have now been added to the lineup, including this to-kill-for 1959 Norton Manx.
The Manx is the most iconic of the British motorcycle marque’s models
Perhaps the most iconic of the British motorcycle marque‘s models, the Manx, named for the ancient dialect spoken by the inhabitants of the Isle of Man – site of the world’s most renowned motorcycle race – is legendary.
The example on offer is an AFM/ACA National championship winner ridden to victory in the 1960s by Buddy Parriot, the first American to ever win Grand Prix points, and we’re told it’s expected to fetch up to $60,000. In other words: expensive but worth it.
